Chariot Challenge – ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATION. First part of the exercise is about assembling a chariot. During the first few minutes the team can talk to each other but not touch the different pieces of the chariot. When the team assemble the chariot they can of course touch the pieces, but they can only communicate though sign-language. Once the chariot is correctly assembled, the team has to retrieve eight pieces of a jigsaw (one at a time) Two blindfold horses get directions from one passenger. The exercise finishes once the jigsaw is completed.

  River Crossing – Snake Pi  

River CrossingSnake Pit - TEAMWORK EXERCISE (all team having to carry out identical manoeuvres). PLANNING ESSENTIAL.
There is only one antidote that will save your colleague from a deadly snake bite and it is situated in the centre of a writhing Snake Pit (imaginary!). Team members have to traverse a fictitious fast moving river using only the valuable stepping stones provided. Once across, they have to quickly utilise the information they have gathered to open a chest. This gives them the clues needed to retrieve the antidote.

Blindfold – PLANNING AND COMMUNICATION. Within an enclosed area two team members have to pick up seven different coloured balls and put them in a container. First problem: the balls have to be put in the container in a logical order. Second problem: the two team members in the enclosed area are blindfolded. Third problem: the other team members can only guide the two in the enclosed area through different sounds (different instruments and sounds are supplied).

  Jigsaw Rescue  

Jigsaw Rescue - An exercise in DAMAGE LIMITATION and ONGOING ASSESSMENT. LEADERSHIP also important. PLANNING ESSENTIAL. Your crack Art Rescue Squad has to retrieve a piece of modern art from a villain's den. Unfortunately, the only way in and out - through a window - is alarmed with laser beams. The team have to retrieve the artwork and assemble it without setting off the alarms.

Nuclear Reactor - Team members are faced with the imminent threat of a nuclear explosion as a result of an unstable nuclear reactor. The only way to stabilise the situation is to transport certain highly volatile chemicals to the reactor across a toxic swamp. Unfortunately, in isolation these chemicals can be life threatening and there is only one logical solution to overcoming the problem.

  Picture Perfect  

Picture Perfect - This is an exercise in communication, attention to detail and teamwork. Teams have to replicate a masterpiece, controlling the effects of 'Chinese Whispers' as they do so.

Dome Relocation - The Dome's bosses have decided to relocate the attraction from Greenwich to Birmingham. The chairmen can see what's to be done but can't tell the MD, only mime to him. The MD can't see what's to be done, but can tell the workers what the chairman wants. The workers well, as ever, they don't get a say in the matter ! A 'thinking' exercise which concentrates the mind and ensures best use of resources.

  Escape from Alcatraz  

Escape from Alcatraz - Your team are on death row as a result of various unmentionable misdemeanours. Luckily, there are certain friendly guards that you have been able to bribe in order to borrow their master keys. Unfortunately, not only must you reach their positions, you must also take great care to avoid one of the Officers who you know could jeopardise your plans.

Viral Alert - UTILISATION OF TEAM/TIME RESOURCES (essentially two concurrent exercises). ONGOING ASSESSMENT & PLANNING.
The infamous Professor Von-Foot-In-The-Grave's last known words were 'aarrgghh'. He went missing whilst attempting to create the elixir for eternal life, instead unleashing a deadly virus on the world. The team have to contain the virus and avoid contaminating the planet.

  The Great Egg Launch  

Grand Finale

The Great Egg Launch(outdoor) - Teams have to design and build a free-standing catapult that will launch a raw egg as far as possible. Props are provided, along with safety goggles and hard hats for the team members that are performing the launch. All distances will be recorded and marked with team flags to determine the 'Egg Launch Champion Engineer' at the end of the day.

Siege Engines (outdoor) - Each team is assigned the task of designing and building a mechanical contraption that can be wheeled forward from the construction area to a firing line, then fire off missiles at the fortress, with points being awarded for accuracy.
